This writing aims to find out and describe the implementation of the Adiwiyata school-based independent curriculum
as a means of instilling environmental care values in students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). The method used in this
research is a literature review or can be called a literature method which is based on the results of books, journals,
articles, official websites and other internet sources related to Adiwiyata schools as a means of caring for the
environment. The database search was carried out starting in December 2024. This aims to provide readers with
insight into the meaning of an adiwiyata school, namely an environmentally friendly school and aims to increase the
awareness of school residents regarding environmental conservation. There are several means to instill the values of
caring for the environment, including by inviting children to experience the outdoors, teaching children to throw
rubbish in the right place, and inviting children to plant trees. So cultivating environmental care has a big influence
in the process of forming environmentally caring character during the independent curriculum-based learning period
