Learning motivation is a crucial factor in achieving academic success for primary school students. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the reward system and its effect on student learning motivation at MIN 1 Palembang City. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects included 15 students in grades IV and V, 5 teachers, and the school principal. Data collection techniques used participatory observation, interviews, and literature review and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis techniques through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that MIN 1 Palembang City implemented various types of reward systems, including verbal rewards (praise, appreciation), non-verbal rewards (achievement stars, stickers), and tangible rewards (stationery, books). The implementation of the reward system is proven to be effective in increasing students' learning motivation, which is reflected in an increase in active participation in learning, enthusiasm for doing assignments, and enthusiasm for participating in school activities. Supporting factors for success include teachers' consistency in providing rewards, the variety of types of rewards, and parental support. While the challenges faced are the limited budget for tangible rewards and the need for a balance between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. This study recommends the development of a structured reward system guideline and teacher training in effective reward implementation to sustain student motivation.
