Abstract

The tree planting program carried out in elementary schools is an effort to maintain environmental
balance and sustainability in order to create environmental health and balance current and future water
systems. The tree planting eco-education program is an environmental education effort that has become
a popular community movement. This program aims to increase the caring value of basic education
students, especially elementary school students. The extension method uses simple teaching aids in the
form of short videos and presentations containing animated pictures of children regarding tree planting
eco-education and its benefits for environmental sustainability. The PKM solution offered is to measure
the knowledge and attitudes of basic education students regarding tree planting and concern for
protecting the environmental ecosystem and water system (hydro-orological system) in partner areas.
The results of the assessment criteria for students' knowledge and attitudes regarding understanding
the value of caring for tree planting and caring for the environmental ecosystem are included in the
medium category.
